Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery Auditions

December 7-8, 6-9 pm

Get your deerstalker cap on — the play’s afoot! Comedic genius Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) transforms Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure. Sherlock Holmes is on the case. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one by one. To find their ingenious killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Watch as our intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises, and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than forty characters. Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can our heroes discover the truth in time? Join the fun and see how far from elementary the truth can be.

This show is an actor's dream! The cast consists of Sherlock Holmes (naturally), Watson, and  the other 43 different characters will be played by just 3 actors (total of 5 actors). Sometimes you'll get a minute to step off stage and change costumes, and sometimes you'll just have to change right there on stage! Due to Covid-19 the following precautions will be in place: attendees will have their temperatures taken before entering and must read below 100.3°F, and only auditionees will be allowed to enter the building; masks are not required but strongly recommended, and chairs will be spaced for social distancing; our production staff will be required to wear masks.

Auditions will be held December 7-8, 2020, scripts available at 6:00 pm, and start at 6:30 pm. You are encouraged to attend both nights at the Stage Crafters Rehearsal Hall, 40 Robinwood Dr SW, FWB, FL 32548. Performances with be March 12-14 & 19-21 at the Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium. If you have questions or would like to pre-audition, contact the director, Douglas Henderson, at DouglasRHenderson@gmail.com

Grease Auditions

TBA

It’s 1959, and Rydell High School’s senior class is in rare form. The too-cool-for-school “Burger Palace Boys” are stealing hub-caps and acting tough and their gum-snapping, chain-smoking “Pink Ladies” are looking hot in bobby sox and pedal pushers. Hot-rodding gangster Danny Zuko and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski, had a secret romance in summer, but now back in the context of school, peer-pressure and cliques make their love a bit more complicated.

(Further information to follow)
